ELDER, TEACHING PASTOR

Jess was introduced to Sojourn (previously Oak Ridge Reformed Baptist) when he became the youth pastor while finishing his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. He served as the youth pastor for 6 years. After finishing his Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Jess was given the opportunity to step into the Senior Pastor position at the church in 2006, where he has preached, served, and discipled ever since.

Jess feels blessed to be married to such a marvelous wife and has 5 incredible children. His hope and prayer is that he can pour the many blessings God has given him back out into the lives of the families at Sojourn Baptist.

ELDER, ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Christian has been on staff at Sojourn since 2009. He began serving as the Associate Pastor in 2013. He leads the church in congregational worship and teaches the adult Sunday school class. He also assists with various other preaching and teaching responsibilities. Christian considers it a joy and privilege to lead others in Christ-centered exposition of the Scriptures and Christ-centered worship. He received his M. Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Christian enjoys reading, playing guitar, and lifting weights. He lives in Spring with his wife Arielle and 3 children.

ELDER

Michael has been an elder of Sojourn Baptist Church since December 2016. He and his wife, Kelly, and their three children joined the church in 2011. Michael graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001, and attended Southwestern Theological Seminary from 2004 to 2006. When not serving the church, Michael works as a project manager for an oil service company. 

He joins the other elders in preaching and teaching and teaches the youth on Wednesday nights. He has a heart for believers and unbelievers alike to know the truth and the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. YOUTH DIRECTOR

Rob has been a member at Sojourn since 2021. He and his wife Naomi have served together since before they were married in 2006, and they have four children. The vision of youth ministry at Sojourn is for us to grow in our biblical understanding of the Triune God, putting Christ at the center of our worldview. Worshipping Jesus together with sound doctrine leads us to stronger and more fruitful relationships and service in our communities. Nicole and her family have been faithful members of Sojourn for 4 years. She loves reading, singing, and serving on the worship team. She graduated from Faith Bible Institute, and is married with 3 children.

Kevin Rutledge graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA. He and his wife moved to The Woodlands 16 years ago, and their family have been members at Sojourn since 2013.
